Sanoma Learning Technology is in the middle of a transformation towards Agile including adaptation of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).

Agile Coach

The Agile Office, responsible within the Sanoma Learning Technology facilitating the processes for product and delivery management, is looking for an Agile Coach. Sanoma Learning has introduced Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) for a great part of its digital product portfolio. SAFe should enable us to promote collaboration and transparency between the development teams and the product management. The Program Increments (PI’s) allow for collaboration, synchronization and coordinated delivery of solutions developed by our development (DevOps / scrum) teams across our delivery centers (Helsinki, Den Bosch, Wommelgem and Warschau). As Agile Coach you help train our product management and DevOps teams on the agile methodology and oversee the development of these teams to ensure effective outcomes for our organization.

Job description:

  • Educate colleagues at all levels on agile principles, providing them with tools for implementing the process in their own work. Provide training sessions and teach valuable skills that lead toward the organization-wide adoption of agile methodologies, e.g. SAFe and Scrum.
  • Mentoring teams into the agile methodology, providing them with feedback and means of improvement, catalyzing organizational growth and answering questions.
  • Implement the SAFe and agile scrum processes, principles and practices across all levels and operating companies in our organization. The Agile Coach must use techniques that increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation. In order to do this, the Agile Coach must also embody the Agile principles and lead by example.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and improve standards and requirements for the agile processes

You will mainly work from Sanoma Learning’s headquarters in ‘s-Hertogenbosch but you are willing to travel to the operating companies when required. You report to the TechOps Lead.


  • Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum and SAFe
  • 5+ year experience coaching teams in Agile adoption
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Interpersonal skills and patience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college/university
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills in English
